PA Presenters Retreat Pitch Session Sign-Ups OPEN!

Pennsylvania Presenters is excited to announce how the four sessions dedicated for pitching will occur at their Spring Arts Retreat in Philadelphia June 9 through June 12, 2024.

The first two pitch sessions, both scheduled on Monday, June 10 in the Warwick Hotel – Rittenhouse Square’s Grand Ballroom, will be the traditional speed pitch events that many arts professionals are accustomed to attending at other industry gatherings. Each “pitcher” will stand before the entire room and have 3 minutes to give their elevator speech about an artist or group they would like the presenters in the room to know about. Space is limited to 13 pitches at each session, or 26 traditional pitches in total.

The second two pitch sessions, both scheduled for Tuesday, June 11 in the Warwick Hotel – Rittenhouse Square’s Chestnut Room, will work more like a speed networking event, except the purpose of these are to allow for the agents to pitch during their 3 minutes with each presenter. In the first of these sessions, presenters will remain in their seats while the pitchers are given 3 minutes to give their spiel before getting up and moving to the next presenter. The second of these sessions, the agents will remain in their seats, and the presenters will rotate every three minutes. There is room for 13 pitches in the first of these two sessions, and 9 pitches in the second.

For NON-PRESENTERS wishing to pitch - requirements and preferences:

    1.     Retreat Sponsors at the $1,000 level and up will be given the first slots in Monday’s traditional pitch sessions.

    2.     After the sponsors are slotted in, pitches will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis (in terms of when the registration was submitted), and slotted in order from the first Monday session to the second, and then when Monday’s spots are filled we will begin slotting in the first Tuesday session, and then the last one. Once all slots are filled, we will begin a waiting list.

    3.     Because space is limited, pitchers must be current PA Presenter members in good standing (to renew or join as a member: https://papresenters.org/Membership-Application).

    4.     Pitchers must already be registered for the Retreat at the time that they register to pitch (to register for the Retreat: https://papresenters.org/event-5596821/Registration).

    5.     Only one pitch per pitch session registration/agency. While those who wish to enter more than one pitch registration is permitted to do so, please note that PA Presenters will accept the first one entered and put the other(s) on a waiting list. Multiple pitches by the same person or agency will only be added if there are still open slots available at the cut-off date, and added on a first-come, first-served basis.

    6.     Note that the requirements will be checked for each registrant before being officially scheduled into a pitch slot.

    7.     Once membership and Retreat registration are confirmed, you will be scheduled into the next available pitch session slot, while available, and then notified with when your pitch will be. In the case where all pitch opportunities are filled, you will be notified which Alternate position you have.

    8.     Pitch Session Registration CUT OFF DATE: 12:00 PM (EST), Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
